Numbers float in layers of ink and print, suggesting movement, code, or sequence. Purtz blends logic and abstraction in this visually rhythmic piece.
About the Artist
Deborah Puretz is a Bay Area artist working across print, collage, and mixed media. Her work often juxtaposes pattern, grid, and intuition — translating systems into sensual form. She has exhibited widely in Northern California and teaches printmaking and design.
Her use of repetition and reordering creates a visual logic all her own, as seen in the numerical sequence of this work.
