ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Each summer, Wharton San Francisco hosts three immersive, two-week business programs for high school students offered by the Wharton Global Youth Program. Open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors from around the world, each program is taught by Wharton instructors and combines classroom learning with site visits, guest speakers, and hands-on projects inspired by the innovation and industries of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The programs, AI Leadership, Innovation and Startup Culture, and Moneyball Experience, each offer a distinct approach to exploring business and leadership. AI LEADERSHIP
Led by Wharton Legal Studies & Business Ethics Professor Kevin Werbach, this program introduces students to the technology reshaping business, from machine learning fundamentals to the ethics and governance of artificial intelligence. Students build a final team project that applies AI tools to a real business challenge.
INNOVATION & STARTUP CULTURE
Led by Wharton Management Professor Tyler Wry, this program introduces students to the entrepreneurial process, from idea generation and business models to product-market fit and pitching a new venture. Working in teams, students develop and present an original startup idea.
MONEYBALL EXPERIENCE
Led by Wharton Statistics and Data Science Professor Adi Wyner, this program introduces students to statistical thinking through the lens of sports. Students explore probability, regression, and R programming before applying their skills to an original sports analytics project.
