Since 2016, Wharton Scale School has brought Bay Area founders and executives together with Wharton faculty to explore a central challenge: how do you take a company that is already working and build it to scale? Launched in partnership with Wharton Lifelong Learning, the series is designed for leaders beyond the startup stage — founders, executives, and management teams navigating the operational and strategic demands of growth.
Each session brings together a Wharton professor, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from the Bay Area for a focused discussion and live Q&A, with opportunities before the program for founders and faculty to connect informally. Past sessions have explored challenges that emerge as companies grow, including hiring and preserving culture, raising capital in changing markets, navigating acquisitions, and adopting AI while strengthening what already works. Featured faculty have included Ethan Mollick, Kartik Hosanagar, and Rahul Kapoor, alongside operators from companies such as Airbnb, Waymo, and DocuSign.
