Wharton on the West Coast

Overlooking the city’s beautiful Embarcadero, our LEED-certified facility mixes tradition and innovation — with floor to ceiling windows that give you stunning views of the San Francisco Bay at every turn. Take a look inside.

Inside Our Facility

Experience the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit of the Wharton School in one of the world’s most vibrant cities. Each space in our technologically advanced academic facility is designed to foster an in-depth and collaborative learning experience.

Classrooms

Our Hills Plaza amphitheater-style classrooms incorporate HD video conferencing and immersive communications capabilities for broadcasts of networking events, speaker series, and classes.

Common Areas

The Hills Plaza Lobby and Dining Hall areas provide comfortable, attractive spaces for informal meetings, socializing, and networking among faculty and students.

Offering stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, our Dining Hall is a popular spot for students to gather with their laptops to collaborate and relax as the sun sets.

Group Study and Conference Rooms

Each of our 17 group study rooms can accommodate up to six people. Equipped with large-screen monitors, laptop hook-ups, electronic whiteboard systems, and walls of glass that students can use as marker boards, these spaces encourage collaboration, facilitate group work, and provide the perfect place for a brainstorming session.

Faculty Spaces

Wharton faculty travel from Philadelphia to San Francisco to teach courses in the MBA Program for Executives each week, and also come to campus for Executive Education programs, the Semester in San Francisco for full-time MBA students, and for various talks and events.

We have a number of spaces to accommodate visiting faculty’s research and teaching activities, providing them with all the resources they need to collaborate with students and develop and disseminate new knowledge.

Co-Working Space

Our Open Space Pilot allows students and alumni launching business ventures to utilize our San Francisco campus as co-working space. We have 17 group study rooms that each accommodate up to 6 people, and are available by reservation most Mondays through Thursdays.
